Is it possible that the employer can with draw 140 if i switch now (after completing almost 8 months on 485) ? I am in good terms with my employer so far. My project might end sometime next month.
Ac21 law is in your favor. Once you cross 180 days your employer cannot withdraw your i-140 or cannot do anything to stop your i-485 process. So be happy and good luck in job hunting.
