I know employer can revoke I140 but I don't know if employer can revoke I485 or not. Especially the lawyer was hired by employer and the costs are paied by employer.

If the I140 approved and I485 passed 180 days, I plan to leave company. And company are so mean, they order the lawyer to revoke everything. (Can they do that in terms of legal points?) How am I going to handle it? I only have I485 reciept. Can I hire a new laywer?

Thanks a lot!

485 is filed by you, the beneficiary. Your employer cannot revoke a petition that YOU filed.
You can always hire a new lawyer anytime.

You are SAFE, Employer can NOT do anything. Try to talk to the same Layer, if he does not agree, get another Lawyer.

Dont Worry ,, change Job, Relax and wait ... even if you dont get a simmilar Job right now ... dont you worry :)

Thanks so much for those answers nkm-oct23 and Cheekoo gives me.

So I guess the only needed dock is the I485 receipt, right?

You say 'if' 140 is approved and 180 days are passed filing 485. Is it 180 days since you filed your 485? If so, yes you can change jobs without impacting your 485 since even if the employer revokes the 140 it won't impact your 485.

I don't know what the possible confusion can be with such very simple language: "If 140 is approved and 485 is pending > 180 days (from RD) the employer can not revoke 140. The 485 is based on 140- so if 140 stays alive 485 would stay alive. Only other thing that needs to be done is get suitable 'similar' job- to continue the 485."
Good luck

Employer cannot revoke if I-485 > 6months of filing.
I heard there is one company called Intermdia grp who threaten employees like these.
