Can EAD filed by new employer (AC21) ?

Folks,

I am past 180 days in 485 and my EAD is expiring in Aug.'03. My company has filed renewal for EAD and waiting for approval. I am still with 485 sponsoring company in westcoast. Now another employer is offering me an offer in a different location (in east coast).

a) Now, can i join the new employer with the existing EAD and can it be renewed by them (new employer) after its expiry ?

b) Is it okay to move to "different location" with AC21 ?

You can join the new employer with your existing EAD. Apart from the ethics of it...since apparently your employer paid for it, there is no problem at all.

EADs do not have to be filed by employers. You or your new employer can file your renewal EAD. Ideally, file EAD renewal yourself or through your own attorney (unnecessary), so that there are no ethical qualms in the future.
