can children travel before parents

Hi DV Gurus,

i just got my green card, and i am a nepali citizen. my kids who are less than 21 want to go to the u.s before i go there, which would be later in the year. can they travel by themself, or do they need to go with me later.
please, i would appreciate a response.

Entering the US

The main applicant, that\'s the DV winner, has to enter the US first or together with the dependent applicants. The visas envelopes of your kids should have a note saying "valid only with main applicant" or something like that (sorry it\'s been 3 years now). So, your kids cannot enter before you. I asked the same question at the embassy and was told the visa would even be void if tried.
