can change from h1 to h4??

Hi,

My sister is having 221G of H1 and appeared for H1 VISA interview in Calcutta but she was directed to Chennai (whihc is the actual consulate). She is also eligible for H4. Can she now cancel the H1 completely and apply for H4 in Chennai?? Will that be any problem??

She can. But what was the reason. 221 G means that insufficient document to process further. What was she carrying when she went to Calcutta? If you list then we can suggest.
 
Yes, She had carried all the required documents, but was unable to convince the reason for visa stamping in Kolkata. And was asked to go to Chennei.
Since this is her first time H1B stamping and she and her husband doesn't want to take any risk. Since getting another appoinment at Chennai would mean waiting for another 3 months. She is taken an appointment for H4 visa at Chennai. So please advise whether it will cause any problems while interviewing ofr H4 visa.

Does she need to do any specific action to cancel her previous H1 221g. Or can she directly go to Chennai for H4 stamping?
