Can asylum EAD work as 1099?

I was on H1B and got asylum approved. Can I changed from W2 to 1099 with asylum EAD? (I believe I cannot change it with EAD through employment to get GC)

The forms you receive will depend on the type of work you do, not on your immigration status. The forms will only change if your status at your work change as well. For example, if you have already received 1099s and need to file taxes for those, the fact that your immigration status has changed does not entitle you to have those 1099s replaced with W2s or vice versa.
