Does anyone know that a Company can revoke Approved I-140 and(or) I-485s? Once the I-485 is approved, How long a person need to be with the same company? Is there any time limit? Or can he/she leave the Company whenever he/she wants, after his/her 485 approval?

Talk to a professional lawyer

myinfo2005,

From what I know a company cannot revoke 140 or 485 after approval but I am not completely sure on this. If you are truly concerned about this issue you should talk to an experienced lawyer.

Any input from some experienced folks here? My question is "How long a person need to stick with the same company (GC sponsor), after his/her I-485 Approval and Stamping on his/her passport? Please include your thoughts and comments....

Something about 6 months

myinfo2005,

I am no expert or guru but I have come across several posts like yours. From what I have read most people agree that staying with the company for atleast 6 months after GC approval is recommended. I have no idea where the 6 months come from but thats what people say. Supposedly if you leave the company right after you get your GC there can be problems at the time of the citizenship interview. They can question you. However there is no way a company can take away that GC once you have gotten it. That is for sure.

I have a friend who left the company 3 months after his green card. So far his GC is good. Company did not do anything harm to him.

Most important thing to remember: leave the company gracfully and politely!!
Give some good reasons when you quit such as my spouse find another job in some other city. I have to go with my spouse for family reasons... blah, blah,...
Everyone will understand you in this case..

Don't say: I hate here. You are all idiots. I had enough.... Then even after you stay for more than one year, you still could be in trouble...

my two cents...
