Hi,
We just had GC interview today. The interview officer said, "I will probably send an approval letter within 1 week. Need some minor background check." So we didn't get a stamp on the passport today.
I am a USC who married a girl with B1 visa(Visitor) 4 years ago. When I first met her she was already in her first marriage but divorced before the 2nd marriage with me. We have been in love. We brought 2 daughters and enough evidence of real marriage(joint accounts, wedding photos, etc). I think the officer was fully convinced on the real marriage part. But why he hold the decision by 1 week? I regret I didn't ask at that time.
Even though he siad probably send an approval letter, I am still worried. Now I have a question. Can the AOS officer reject because my wife used the B1 visa for non visiting purpose 4 years ago even though it is proven bonafide marriage?
Thanks in advance.
Bae
