I didn't renew my H1b visa and so I didn't renew my I-94. But I have my Work permit EAD card.

My Question is:
When we go for the passport stamping in INS office after getting I485 approval notice, INS doesn't want the renewed I-94 if you are on the work permit. Is it True........

take with U all UR I-94s H1s and other non-immigration stuff
BCIS will take away all and
just put green card stamp...on UR passport

If U do not renew H1, how can U get a new I-94?
