I filed I-130 was filed to Nebraska in 2004 for my child, I received a receipt number and and two years later the case was transfered to California and when I asked USCIS they say that the case was received on 2006 and it is pending for review, and they do not mention the first receipt date
Result= two years has gone already pending + the receipt date was changed which will the delay the case even further and the child will no longer be under 21 then he has to wait even longer, that mean instead of 2a priority, he will be 2b in the priority category.
Does any one has similar case ? and what exactly is the priority date? does it refer to the original date when the petition was filed(in my case 2004) or when the case was transfered to another office (in my case 2006)or neither one of them, or the clock of priority date starts ticking when the case is reviewed, processed and approved, then he has to wait another 4 or 5 years on top of 3 or 4 years elapsed?!!!
Can anyone help claify that for me ?
Thank you
