Can ACS provide me with a case status?

Can ASC provide me with a case status?

I have a fingerprinting appointment scheduled in Oakland ASC. Do they have access to my case there and will they be willing to give me a case status (security, namecheck, whatever) or they are merely biometrics technicians?

I'm answering my own question. There were few officers on duty in Oakland ASC, couple of them sitting on reception, others supervising fingerprinting. It didn't seem they would be willing to provide a case status.
