Hello, folk!

I was granted asylum in June 2011. I applied for Travel Document in November 2011. Then I received the Travel Document in January 2012 and in February 2012 I went to Europe. I came back in February 2012 back to US, and my travel according the Immigration Officer at JFK stamped as "21 days." I did not go to country of origin of persecution.

Now, it is September 2012 and obviously it is more than 1 year of presence in the US.

My question is:

Does the requirement of 1 year presence in the US mean of "continuous presence" or not? In the other words, can my "21 days travel" to Europe affect the 1 year of presence?

(Overall I was in the US since 2006, but in the status of asylee only since June 2011)
