my family sponsored by my uncle for GC, when we came here we stayed with them for month or so then we moved out, lateron I became a witness in a criminal case against another family relative now my uncle's attorney sent me a letter stating that they might sue me for living, food, transportation costs.
My question is can a sponsor sue a person who he sponsored?
Please Help

Check the form I-864(Affidavit Of support), as it might be(as required by Law) filed by your family, for your uncle. It may clear up your question.

Just on the contrary. You, as a beneficiery, can file a lawsuit aganst your uncle for not supporting you. That's if you decide to enforce the i-864 signed by your uncle.
