can a marriage with permanant resident help?

I am right now with the removal proceedings in the court , have a hearing in mid of this year, not knowing what will happen to my case status...if at this stage i marry a permanant resident, can he help me to make me stay here or he needs to be a citizen only?

The assumption DHS will make and the judge will probably agree that you entered in the marriage for the purpose of obtaining immigration benefit. You will have to overcome that with a high threshold of evidence. This could complicate your case further specially if you file for asylum.
