Gurus,

I have bad issues with my current lawyer for my NIW filing. i already signed a contract and a G-28 form. right now, i am going to to fire her and find a good one. i am just afraid that she could do bad thing to my case. Just wondering, can a lawyer withdraw my NIW I-140 without my permission?

Thanks,

Gengt

I seriously doubt if she could cause harm. I would pose the same question to the future lawyer and I am sure the future lawyer will take care of that.

You are the applicant, lawyer is only an agent. So, agent should not be able to harm you. In the worst possible scenario, the lawyer might come after you for the full fees (not just partial payment).
