Can a H1-B holder also attend a university?

Hi,

I have a friend who is currently employed by a US firm on H1-B visa. The visa is valid until the year 2004. This friend is interested in pursuing higher studies at a university here in the US. Is it possible to enroll in a university for a Master\'s program while on H1-B? The work has to be continued but would also like to pursue college at the same time if legally possible? Any help/advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

possible

It is very possible and legal to do it. Only I don\'t think it can be a full-time degree program. Best bet is to contact the International Studies offices in Univ. of choice. Most of the counselors are well aware of the immig. policies.

P.S. I was enrolled part-time in a PhD program for a number of years while on an H-1B. Also, many friends and family members have received their MS degrees(part-time) while on H-1Bs
