Can a dependent revalidate the VISA ?

This might sound like a dumb question. Can a dependent go to Canada or India and revalidate the 7th year visa without the main H1B applicant.

Please let me know of any experiences.

---- Yes, certainly they can go to Canada or India and get their visa revalidated (if you mean H4). They need to carry their H4 approval notice and a copy of the H1 approval notice of the principal applicant

Yes i am referring H4. The earliest appointment avaialable is Sep 12 in New Delhi. Can we go to any consulate in India or just the regional consulate.

Is it necessary for h-4 that main h-1 has to have stamping on his pp in order to get h4 stamp.....????????????????/

---- No, there is no need for H1 visa stamp on PP for the principal applicant in order to get the H4 visa stamping

yes it is requried. usually it is better to take all docs, even if you are in 7th year. take as much as documents you can. good luck :)
