calrification needed on filling i-485

      I planning to file i-485. The concerns here is I extended my H1-b to another 2 yrs. My current visa has expired as of july 15th,2001. Is it necessary to re-validate the visa before I file i-485. The I-94 has validity date till november,2003.is it ok if I can go ahead and file my i-485. Helpful suggestions are welcome.

No, it is not necessary to get another stamp on your passport. However, unless you get advance parole, you will need to get the stamping done to re-enter US if you have to leave the country.
