Unfortunately, it will not work. I-140 is employer specific, the petitioner is your employer and you are the beneficiary, hence they cannot divulge the I-140 receipt number to you.

How will they verify who is calling ?
If you tell them you are company representative calling for case number how will they verify your identity ? I know it is not correct but I want to know the logic used here.
