July Filers

My application was received on July 2nd. I have not received a receipt and the checks have not yet cleared. I need to travel home for an emergency but donot have advanced parole. Does anybody have an idea how long advanced parole will take and if I can go to the local office to get it.

I mailed on July 2, USCIS received on July 03, No response yet.

sometimes you may get AP fast by sending a request to expedite the case depending on humanitarian reasons etc. Try going to your local office or you may try by sending your name, DOB, country of birth etc & proof of mailing since you do not have a receipt number yet. If you have an H-1 or H-4 etc, you dont need to go thru AP, you can always travel on a valid H-1/H-4. Good luck.
