Called VSC for my Aug 20th case

After about ten minuts on hold, a male IIO took my call. My RD is Aug 20, 2001, RD Oct.15, 2001, FP 03/29/02. He first told me that my case was an Oct. case and they are processing cases till to august. Then I told him that my case was received by VSC on Aug. and Oct. was the notice date. Then he started saying that actually they are processing cases before August. Then I asked for how long it will take to reach my case. He said that since FP is good for 15 months, he is sure that my case will be completed before my FP expires. He continued to say that it would take two to ten months to reach my Aug. 20th case. FAINT!!!!!!!!!

Hang in there dude. If you faint, we as Sept.' 2001 filers should die.

When the IIOs provide any time frame (including statements like "case will be assigned next week" etc.), what is that based upon. Is that their pure guess work or do they look at any file number etc.

I think in my case he based his prediction on when my FP's expiration date. What an idiot!!!!!
