Called USCIS But got a message that....

Hi:

TOday i called USCIS inquiry and found a message that due
"we are a sorry becuase of temporary problem we cannot access your account please check back again"

What does it means

Don't worry,

It seems system is down,

or

Sometime if ur online status is "We responsed your request about concern.."
becz that msg seems not yet recorded in their ph system probably that could be reason.

try ur other old cases like EAD . and if only ur 485 have error then call TSC directly using any other SRC# and find most current status/stage of ur case.

I woudn't worry much.. looks like it's the USCIS system problem... they may be upgrading something..or some glitch...

Guys i have checked the status of My spouse's pending 485 application and there was no error message there

Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on May 7, 2002. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 850 and 900 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.


but i case of mine i got error message.

Yesterday It is OK when I called

Everytime, I am getting different status.

Yesterday, I was told that my wife's 'background' check is completed and mine is pending.

This contradicts the answer that background check was cleared for both of us when I called a week back

In my yesterday call, when questioned about the processing dates, I was told that there is possibility of 485 approval but a visa number may not be available. Hence I need to go for passport stamping. The rep then said he can send a note to Officer to see if there can be any approval based on the processing dates before 1st Oct.

I am not sure how knowledgeful they are and how useful to contact them by phone.

I would not believe everything you hear from TSC reps or officers. It is hit and miss with them. Some good ones will give you the right answer while others will make up excuses to get you of the phone. A few months ago, my wife and I called the TSC 6 times within a week and each and every time we got a different answer. One of these phone calls was helpful and it enabled us to find out that our APs had been lost by TSC. All other times we were given useless excuses. So do not take what you hear from them as the final word because it may or may not be true.

So its mean you are having that msg on both system?

1. Online status
2. Status by phone



If this is correct then I believe few ppl did share having similar issue but gone later.

so if u really have concerns , Call TSC drictly (using 800 then follow options of multiple aplicaitons) and they would let u know what is going on.

(becz ur 485 receipt has already issue so use ur spouse receipt or ur any old EAD receipt to connect, once it connect u give u 485 receipt to Lady at TSC.)

following message is

:D :D Don't worry Gullu I had same issue when addr was changed and that msg came and I had same issue, on phone it was error msg and online was same msg "we responded ...blah blah"..

It seems that they don't have 'equivalent voice-msg' of 'We responded' in their system thats why ph-system gives error.

Don't worry and relax u all fine.

I concur with POJ.
You may try during office times and enter any other SRC number which you know (Say ur AP). Then follow the steps mentioned by POJ and then talk to the represetnative.
 
same message

I got the same message today - due to system error. My online status is "We responded your request for more information ....", which is a result of inquiring through Senator's office. But personally I have not received any paper mail at all for this "response".

I am wondering how you can really talk with an officer. I can never bypass the CSRs. They simply turned my request down after they recite the online status. Any tricks or secret pass? :-)

Man, this whoe thing has become a joke to me, and i hope the final joke is not on me...
