Called USCIS and they send me RFE

Folks,
I applied 485 in sep'2003(EB3). After seeing the NSC 485 processing dates posted i called USCIS on 14th july and opened an inquiry. I got a mail on 20th July stating the below message.

On July 20, 2005, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case. The notice explains in detail what additional material is needed. If you have questions about the notice, what is required, or if 14 days have passed and you have not received the notice, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

Does this mean my Name Check is done and once the additional evidence is provided my case will be approved?

Please give me some inputs.

Sounds like it. Check my signature. You will be all set to be approved but you won't be until the visa numbers are available in October and if your priority date is current. At least you should have everything to them before this.

How did u open inquiry with USCIS? Can you please provide me number & which option to select.

Called 1-800-375-5283 and option 6.
 
July2003filer, to open an inquiry, just call 1800-3755283, then 1-2-6-1, after listening your online message, press 3-3-1, you will be asked to wait various of minutes until you get a chance talk to IIO, tell he/she you want to open an inquiry about your case. That's it. Usually you will get a written response in about 10 days.
