Called USCIS and got the following...

My 140 was filed in Jan 2006 and approved in May 2006. My 485 was filed on April 2006 to VSC and was transferred to TSC on March 15, 2007 and I haven't heard anything back yet so far.

However I don't know if the following I have done on last Friday will help or not since I am kind of new for those things. I called USCIS and talked to a rep on last Friday. I told her that I am wondering what is the current status of my case since I filed 485 in April 2006 and the processing date for 485 in TSC is showing Sep 2006. She asked my case # then said she is going to open a request to the 'adjust personnel' for my case and finally gave me a case # for it. My attoney said this is a kind of regular thing they normally do and won't affect the process at all. Has anyone done such thing before and what is the effect if there is any?

Bass, would you happen to know about the current status of your name check by any chance? I really don't have anything to pipe in, but your case timeline is quite similar to mine. I'd be curious to know the progression of your case. Good luck! Check it out...

I really don't know the status of my NC. I should ask this question when I talked to the rep on phone.
