Like some of you guys, I'm waiting for the Bio notice (RFI was received by USCIS on Jul 8).
Called the customer service this morning. After choosing English, pressed 2 for pending app and 6 for case status. Entered receipt #, patiently lisening to the status message I already knew from my online account, then chose "continue to next step" (forgot the key # for this) and then pressed 1 (if you haven't received a notice mailed to you). This is not my exact situation as I didn't know whether the Bio notice had been mailed to me or not, but other options won't get me to a customer service rep.
After pressing 1, I was directed to NSC. A lady answered my call. She checked my case and said that my case is still pending to be reviewed by an officer and hence the Bio notice hasn't been sent out yet.
I asked her what it means if getting a Bio notice. She said there are different scenarios. If your prior FP result is still valid, the officer may approve your case and then send you the notice to do Bio; but they may also ask you to do FP as part of the Bio before the final approval. I want to ask her more, but she politely ended the conversation.
I'm hoping my case reviewer is on vacation this week and after he/she returns to the office next week, he/she will try to catch up with other officers.
