Called TSC today 10/23

Called to check the status to see if there are any updates. Very polite IO, she took the receipt number and verified some other info and told that there is an update 'Visa number not available' :(. My security checks are completed, reconfirmed.

Guys any ideas, where am I....
 
In the deep well called R E T R O G R E S S I O N. Current PD for EB3 INDIA is 22nd APR 2001.
 
my namecheck cleared way back in 10/2004

last call to TSC IO, the IO said your case is assigned to an officer awaiting adjudiction and you should hear back within 30 days (this was a week ago) and she said call us back if you dont hear from us as everything is clear on your case, she said 2nd set of FP prints received, NC cleared, Biometrics loaded into system, RFE received and pending and also reviewed.

She didnt talk about visa# for some reason and said you should hear within 15-30 days and if not call us back directly. no idea

Call around in Nov 3rd week and try ur luck. If you get any +ve response, we will have some hopes too.

I called too..

only to find out that I was still stuck in Name check.

The IO also told me that they scrapped the idea of approving old cases pending name check result.:(
 
The IO simply gave you some wrong info I guess. June to September was different they requested all numbers available with DOS and were adjudicating all cases and July was current.

Now, if you are EB3 India, I am not sure how you will be approved, only thing could be that they already clicked the approval button and requested your number before Oct1st but were just holding on to it for some reason (don't know what it could be, probably name check). There is that one chance you may be approved,

I guess no visa number is a standard response, I got the same answer despite my PD is current.
 
PD current means they have visas for your case. Ask them? Otherwise what do they mean by PD current? Unless you are mistaking PD with RD.

I meant PD. They should have visa numbers, but the response was: there are no visas now.

'No Visa available now' may be an update when they tried to assign visa number befor Oct01, with FY07 numbers gone. Check your LUDs...
