I called TSC today and got a weird response. I did my last FP on 3/2/06. When I called TSC on 8/17/07, I was told that my FP has been expired and she will order a new notice for FP and it will take 2 to 3 months. When I called this morning, the IO said that they recieved second set of FP on 8/22/07 and the name check is clear and everything looks fine. The next step is to assign this case to an officer. Do you think I would still be required to go for another FP?

Either you are lucky or the lazy guy at the other end of phone line has typed in wrong digits for your case #.

FP expires after 15 months. If your last FP was done in 3/2/06 then you should soon get a new FP Notice. Trying contacting Congressmen, they will help you in getting it sooner. It helped in my case.

I agree that my FP has been expired by now and trying to expediate the new notice for FP. However, i just don't understand why she told me today that they received the second set of FP on 8/22/07. She confirmed my name, so she was looking at the correct case. I triple checked her on the 8/22 date and she said yes, they received the FP and everything looks fine. She even said that I can't see this message or date online and only she has access to this information. Below is a log I am maintaining since the last couple months with the information I have been getting from TSC. I started calling them when I saw the LUD changed on 7/24/07.
7/31/07
The case is with an officer.
8/2/07
This petition is assigned to an officer on 7/21/07.
8/3/07
Case is with an officer. Decision to be made within 4-6 weeks.
8/9/07
Case is ready for an approval and currently with an officer. Completed all security checks. Waiting for a visa number.
8/17/07
Will order FP since they are now expired.
Everything else looks fine.
Wait for 2-3 months for the FP notice. Case is waiting and NOT with an officer.

Case is still pending.
