Called TSC IO today - July 27 - 2007

Well I got connected in less than a minute and was hoping for some answers. I was curious about my new finger print notice that my attorney received earlier. I called and checked with that. She said, my finger prints are received and I can ignore this notice. All checks cleared, but no visa #'s.

Nothing interesting..

What did she mean by saying "No Visa #" ??? I thought Visas are available until August 15th, 2007. Can you tell me what you think of that ?
 
I got the same answer two weeks ago, my 485 approved today. So hang in tight.

Even I got connected in less than a minute. She was really nice and sweet. She told me everything is clear and my case is waiting to be assigned to an officer. When I asked her if visa number is alloted to my case. She told me she cannot tell me that.

I called TSC today, Male IO picked up told me Everything is good to go and my backround check is cleared as of May 05 and case is with officer, you should hear something in 4-6 weeks.

This is the first time any IO told me that name check cleared otherwise everytime i use to call they use to tell name check is pending.


But still i am not sure whom belive but this guy was very confident in saying you should recive decision in 4-6 weeks.

I forgot to ask about visa allocation :(

Did he start to answer or it was based on your questions. Because, most of the time, it is very hard to get it out from them ?? Any suggestions ??

he started very friendly and i asked how are you first... before asked me anything. So he asked my name and address , went on telling everything before even i asked him anything.

Call now you may get him online.

But EOD we never know who has right info or wrong .

When I called on this Monday (7/23),IO told that my NC is still pending but VISA# is assigned, i dont know assignining VISA # makes makes any difference with out NC clearance?

I got the same guy. He was a little goofy. When I asked him abt FP he said we have your results from 2005. I said I gave recently in May 2007. Then he said we have your results from April 2007 :confused:

Later he went on and told me that all checks are cleared and case is in officer assignable state and should hear something in 60 days. Then he actually correctly himself and said it should be less than 4-6 weeks.

I also forgot to ask abt the visa number.

It at least cheered me up for the weekend :)

Please note that our 485 dates are very close, may be that's the reson he told us the same response , it is just guess and thing to be happy for the weekend atleast.

He told me absolutely the same things, incl. 60 days and 4-6 weeks.
Although I asked him if a visa# was allocated on the case. He responded that he didn't have access to this info.

The last time i called was the IO told me my paper is waiting to be assigned to an officer.
Then 4 days later I got the card ordered mail. This was July 11.

I think there is still 2 more working days to go in July. So you guys can still expect approvals.

After that I think you would have to wait out till October.
Even though USCIS has said that they will allow people to file until Aug 17th because of the fiasco, they never said that for approvals sake this Aug17th is still valid.
The approvals may still be based on the Aug Visa Bulletin.

I called and got a male IO, seems to be the same one everyone is talking about. Told me that the background checks are in, an officer is assigned and I should hear back in 4-6 weeks. Not to ruin any hopes, but it seems like a standard reply that he was giving to everyone.
 
same here but my I-485 is new

I talked to same guy at TSC earlier this week. He told me my and wife's security clearance (name check and FP) is cleared and i have to wait 60 more days for approval.

I am kind of surprised because he told our security clearance is clear, everything is fine and waiting to for IO review. I see in this website some people have to wait few years to get security clearance check (name check). I already have Info Pass next week to meet IO. I will find for sure our security clearance is clear or not. They always change LUDs on our I-485 but they have not changed LUD on wife's I765 since we applied....

No. Visa numbers will be used up whenever they are used up, which could be this month or August or September. All that happens is that they are accepting new I-485 applications until August 17, even if no more visa numbers are available.
