Very Rude did not even ask the case #, just the month and year of filing and said that application takes 24 months to process, so hang up. I asked JIT is past my RD date, she says we dont go by those dates we have some info provided by the service center which says 24 months, call back when it is 24 months.

When the application is pending 24 months they will say 27 months very easy to add a few months just simple math.

Well, what _is_ your RD? November 01? Call them in a month, they won't say 27, they'll say 25 maybe?
 
My I-485 RD is 2/2002, and they said the processing time is now 21 months and hence I should call back in Nov 2003, which will then become 22 and then 23, and the list goes on ...

if the JIT date has passed RD, I would call again (if I were you) and hope I get some other agent who is willing to listen and initiate an inquiry.

I have December 13 2001 RD. I called on Sept 15th and the lady who answered initiated an inquiry to CSC.

I received a letter from CIS last week with a message below....

"Your application to adjust status (I-485) is still pending. Currently the applications submitted during the month of your submission are being processed"

I dont know, if they will take my application any sooner. Have to wait.

My spouse also called NCSC around Sept 18th and got a similar letter with same message.

I have the same RD Dec 13th WAC-02-063-***** so may be I should call, will it make any difference? if they initiate an enquiry.

I called on the same day, Sep. 15th and received the same message. Only hope the inquiry can trigger the 2nd FP sooner.

That would be nice if they start working on more applications.

One says its 24 and another says its 21! which one to go with!
