Called INS for Fingerprints notice

I just called INS for my fingerprints notice and I was told that I was never scheduled for fingerprints appointment. The officer said maybe there is a system error in my case and she would send a message to shedule my fingerprints appointment. Anybody knows what is going on here? What does that mean? I filed I485 in Sept 2001 and has not received any fingerprints notice yet.
