I called BCIS today to find out why I did not receive any confirmation letter from them after I updated my address more than 6 weeks back. They took my details all over again and told me to wait for 30 days again to receive a letter.

I guess we need to call BCIS repeatedly until we receive confirmation letter.

when we change address do we get confirmation from bcis that address is changed? I did not get any thing. I changed my address 6 months ago . I called BCIS at the time of address change and they said I will get some thing, but I never got any thing. I thought this is common.

First of all, sorry for the title. It was a cutomer service guy, not IIO. He clearly told me that if we did not receive confirmation letter, it means their system did not get updated. He told me to give them a call again if I do not receive the letter in the mail. So, it is clear that we need to keep calling them to update our address until we receive the letter.
 
Since when did they start sending confirmation letters for address change - that's something new on me.

When I changed my address, I simply wrote them (using form G731 N, second page). Called them a couple of months later and was happy to note that they actually acted on my letter.

I got my second FP notice to my new address too.
