My wife called IIO today as it has been three weeks since our last call. Our details RD 4/1/99, ND 4/29/99. My wife pressed very hard for more information other than our cases are under review. She asked, "are our applications on someone\'s desk"? The reply was , "I would be misleading you if I told you it was on someone\'s desk. The only thing I can confirm is if it has been checked out by an officer". So my wife asked if the applications had been checked out by an officer and the guy replied in the affirmative. When my wife said that the data they released shows that they are processing 4/1/99 cases, he said that our cases are being "processed". Then my wife asked him about the 7/99 cases being adjudicated for which he offered no comment. Then she asked for a timeframe and got told 18 months from the filing date, which is basically Oct 2000. My conclusion from my wife\'s conversation with IIO is that there is little hope of getting our applications adjudicated this year.
