Well, here is what I feel. Anyone of us who is eligible to write a letter to a senator (JIT > ND) and case still unassigned, must mention that (If you believe in the below),
a) INS CSC is ridiculously slow, with no improvement in sight.
b) Their customer service, is rude and give you faulty information, and have no credibility whatsoever. This is after it takes forever to get thru to them, which is not a toll free call anyway.
c) Faxes seem to have no effect on INS, basically they do what they wish and act in an unchecked, aristocratic/dictatorship matter.
d) And yea, donot lie, and state all the facts about your case, including your real exact WAC number.
Important, just mention the real facts, and ask for help. No making up stuff, no lies.
In addition to the local senator, I feel we should send these letters to the president and media (local newspapers etc.) also.
If enough of us do this, not only will it help your own case, it might get some attention to CSC and all this heat, might kick start those idiots.
I feel we have waited enough, please let me know if anyone feels different.
And yea, when my turn comes to send these letters, I will definitely write to all of the above (Senator, Media, President).
I know for a fact that America is the best country in the world. I know one bad organization, will not shake my faith in their system. Though my faith in "INS" is pretty well shook at this point, but I am sure others will make up for that.
My humble, sincere, urging request to you all, if your case isn't still approved, spend the $5, and write these letters. And yea, make them objective, stating the facts, no furore, or jingoism, remember, you are asking for help, and they can turn you down.
