Called IIO this morning ND Oct99 FP 2/01

EB2 India PD current,ND 10/6/99 IIo was very polite and after reading something(probably she opened my info on her computer) said that my case was assigned to an officer on 3/20/01 and should hear about the decision with 30 days. Also told Fp clearance was received 2 weeks ago from FBI.

I do not know how truthful was the iio. lets hope for the best.

If you have done your FP on Feb 21st...and assuming that your FP notice was generated on Jan 21st...Vermont stuck to its policy of opening the file only after 2 months have elapsed from the time the FP notice was generated...(since they have assigned your case to an officer on March 20th)...

Hope there will be some good movement from here on...please keep us posted...hope they will approve applications without sending needless RFE\'s...which will only slowdown the process...

Mine is similar situation. I have done my FP on 2/21/00(Actually scheduled for 3/6/01)and the FP notice was issued on 2/13/01. At the place I live the FP can be done at any time. I have called for an hour today to get through the VSC phone to talk to an IIO but with no success. I will call them again sometime this week and will update you all. My RD/ND are 9/22/99 and 10/4/99, EB2.

I did my finger prints in Florida, where I live. No my case is not transferred to a local INS. Though I live in Florida my company is in the VSC area.
