Can you please tell me when was your first FP done?

Also How come your ND/RD are same?

Thanks

My Rd is 4th Feb 2002
I have done FP in May 2002

AVM is not updated for FP, FBI confirmed me that they sent reply back to INS same month.

I hope I will not received FP notice again.

My RD and ND are the same

Even my PD on the fingerprint notice said Feb 1, 2002. I have no clue what that means. My labor was done in Feb 2001 and PD should be tied with that. Has anybody seen something like this??

couple of comments for ghee...

ghee,

regarding the PD on the i485 notice, i seem to remember reading in these forums that once all the EB categories got current, they stopped using the PD from the LC or i140 (in case of NIW cases), and simply repeated the RD. nowadays, i am reading posts where people report that the PD field is blank. in any case, i wouldn't worry about it.

what i would worry about is what the IIO had to say to you. first off, i too am not sure what she meant, but if i think what she was saying is correct, then it suggests that they are expecting cases with 2002 RDs to take longer to process, which might take them beyond the expiry of the current FP validity. therefore, they are getting another FP done ahead of time, giving themselves some breathing space.

which raises two questions for BCIS/NSC:

1. why not try and adjudicate 1485's quicker, so that nobody has to worry about FPs expiring

2. even if FP validity expire, why not have some mechanism in place with FBI to get an update, rather than having the applicant come in for another FP? after all, finger prints don't change...

or am i barking up the wrong tree?

Pork Chop, I completely agree with your

points. I think IIOs usually have no clue. This lady IIO I talked to most of the time followed what I said. More 'may be's' and guesses on her tone.
I think they sit there just for the heck of showing that the BCIS is a courteous and affirmative action govt employer. Nothing more than that.
