called IIO/changed address

finally i got hold of an IIO to change my address.
I sent in address change in mid-Dec 2001. The address
was not changed until I called today.

IIO never asked me for my A#, she did everything based
on wac# 01-259. Arent they suppose to ask for
the A#???

FP done 12/15. AVM says, "On Jan 11, process
resumed..".

she said its ready to be assigned. They received all
background checks.......
 
when to call

I have been trying to call IIO for last 3 days withour success. Can you tell me what is the best time to call?

Called IIO at around 6:15 EST . Got thru and talked to an IIO Today . Disappointed that case not assigned to any officer and no information about when it will be assigned . But fp / background checks received.
The status of the case is "pending" .
 
There is no "best time" to call during day..

If you need to talk to an IIO, you HAVE to call during daytime (I believe 9am~3:30pm, but automated checking is 24hours- best time to check automated system- same number- is after 9pm, or early morning before 7am!). However, there is no best time to call for an IIO- its always busy! You have to keep trying/redialing- sometime for over an hour! Best thing I\'ve found out is to have a phone which has three or four lines in it and start dialing from all of them simultaneously (putting lines on hold while you dial on other line, etc). Good luck I say!!
Someone said that it was bad to call IIO so many times- It is NOT. Legally there is absolutely nothing they can do just because you called several times a week or more than once a day! Doesn\'t affect your application one way or the other depending on how many times you called. My 2 cents end here.
