Called IIO. Are the questions normal?

Just called the 800 number and talked to an IIO. He was nice and patient. He asked for A number, EAC number, my name, country of birth, birthdate, home phone, work phone, email, RD, RFE date, whether it is EB based, whether changed address, my current address. whether I filed an inquiry in the past 30 days...

He told me the time for I-485 is 20 months, and I told him my case is pending for 22 months. After all the questions, he said he I will hear from BCIS in 3-4 weeks. I asked him whether there is anything can be done to expedice it, and he said he does not know.

So basically they will just give me an update which is the same as the one on the website, right?

Those ppl are very stupid low paid low intelligence. ignore them

Jan/RD will never be able to call those stupid
ppl, because this month the processing time is 20 months, next month the processing time is 21 months.....then never be able to call them.

this scheme must've been designed by con-artists.

I think the people you called are not IIOs. They are the newly appointed call receivers. They will take the info and forward your query to the respective service centers. So what you were asked is genuine for them. But your query may awaken them. But did your first fp expire yet?

u will get reply from service centre in 3 weeks ....mostly a general reply stating that according to our systems ur case is still pending but ur date is under our current working date frame pls wait 60 to 90 days for any further enquiry ..............but yes few got diff letters like sorry for delay we will take decision on your case in 3 months etc ......but note v.few got such case specific reply,so I would say its worth trying once who knows if u r lucky u may get case specific reply

I dont know about the new 800

number but previously it depended on the IIO. Once I got an IIO who told me when exactly my file was shipped from the archiving center. The next time I got one who read from the website! I politely told her about the file being shipped which is when she dug up a little more and told me to expect in 30 days. I got the message in about 10! So hope for the best
