The IIO told me that my file (with previous H1s) was taken out of storage and sent to the officer. It has now reached the 485 department. It has to matched up with my 485 application and I should hear something in about 30-60 days. So May end or by june... but I dont think the IIO was aware of my FP expiring. So it might be longer.

Aint it a Biyaatch! :mad:

Something tells me you will hear approvals for your GC within the next 2-3 weeks. So keep up the spirit!!

Normally all INS centres tries to clear the case before the FP expiration so u might hear good news soon.

It seems CSC has made a new rule to send out FP notices on 9th month after filing I-485 to avoid redo of FP. Not sure of other service centres.
 
Was your 140 approved for CP ? I am asking this because when I had called about 20 days ago he said he is going to retrieve it out of storage ( mine was approved for CP) and should hear something within 60 days. Din't mean to confuse or scare you but just want to get some input.

No. I have checked it before. It was for Adj.

They said something about having a previous H1. I had changed jobs four years ago so maybe they wanted to check files from my previous employer. I dont know much but that's what the IIO implied.
