Hello all anxious waiters of the GC clan !

My husband talked to an IIO today. The lady said that they have been processing 08/15 (RD) for over a week now and there are a lot of these.

She said that it might still be one to two months to get past 8/15. Our RD is 08/16 and the IIO said our case has not been assigned to anyone yet.

Wow!!! I think I do believe this...there truly are a lot of August filers...If you check the rupnet database, it shows that there are a lot of I485 applicants...and this only shows a portion of the total applicants....not all applicants post on rupnet, so i think it will show us that there are a good number of these applicants...
Oh well...patience...patience...patience....

I have learned that "Believe the IIO with a pinch of salt".

Yesterday, I did a little analysis which indicates Aug approvals are almost uniformly spread over the whole month. IIOs statements about Aug15 vs Aug 1 is all pure junk.

My belief is, files are assigned in a batch of 30-50 to each officer and dates orderliness cannot be maintained as pace of approvals is different for officers. They seem to consider the whole month a discreet unit.

Curiously, August 1st files being at the bottom of the heap are generally last one to be picked up.

All said and one, predicting INS's work methodology will defy all ur logic and take u in a roller coaster ride.
