I received my interview date for Aug 24th but have yet to receive any update on my 1765 since I went in for my finger printing. Could it be a mistake or does this normally happen? I am a bit concerned that I still dont have my EAD.

Thank you

Please provide your timeline in your signature. It helps whoever is going to give you a response know about your case and thus be able to give you pertinent answers.

We got our EAD's less than 2 weeks before the interview, and about a month after fingerprints.

I feel like thats what might happen here. I hope it doesnt hurt me on the interview if I didnt apply for SSN or a license at that point (though if theres time I definitely will).

My timeline:
5/23 I-485, I-765, I-864, I-130 and G-325 Received in Chicago
6/03 Checks Cashed
6/06 Notice date on letter for biometrics
6/20 Biometrics done
7/19 Online update for I-485 with date for interview (Aug 24)

Ill include it in signature soon, just want to double check dates when I get home, but Im 99% sure theyre accurate.

Also, I dont know if its of any significance in this case, but I was brought into the country as a young child 17 years ago and over stayed tourists visa, college student now. My lawyer said it would be an easy case but I just wanted to ask here first before I call her about the missing EAD.

Well it should theoretically be an easier case than many others considering as a child you definitely did not have control over entering or leaving the USA and knowledge about immigration rules. Your case will probably be purely based on the bonafides of your marriage.
