Called Customer Service, Cannot Find My Case Due To Temp. System Error

I had initiated a query last month with VSC and now I can't never seem to call up the toll free # and get any information on my case status. After I am asked to enter my case #, i get a message - something like "due to temporary system error, your case cannot be found. Please call back again."

I have read it in the forum that this usually happens after you raise an enquriy. Does anyone know of a workaround or how long this is going to stay like this?

imho.. after your inquiry your status message probably changed to "We responded to your request.... blah.. blah... blah..." and it looks like the automated system does not know how to interpret that kind of message, it knows about "App received", "RFE mailed/received", "FP received..." etc, but "We responded to your request... " is not there or too generic...

I would not worry about it, create an online portfolio and track your cases there... if you want to call VSC using a tip, instead of your 485 receipt you may enter your I140 EAC or I131 EAC, etc...

"due to temporary system error, your case cannot be found. Please call back again." I dont know what would be the reason for this"

I encountered the same problem with the 1800# last week and again today. It says a technical problem in accessing the case details.
 
I managed to speak to a customer rep. today, she said I have to wait 60 days before that message goes away, which is kinda odd.

I guess they try prevent people from initiating multiple enquires, but I wish the message was clearer.
 
USCIS blocking case status query (phone) ?

Did she mean the case status is intentionally blocked ?
And we can only check that online ?
 
Well, she said you might be having problems coz 60 days havent passed. I dont think she really knows either. She said I cant file another equiry either until 60 days have passed.

Not sure what else to think of ...
