I called BCIS few min. back. They said 30 and 90 days for the case status for I 485 is a mistakd. It is taking around 26 months for these type of cases.

Well looks like things did not change after all.

I just called BCIS they told me it is taking 21 months for a case to process. And it is a typo

Correct message should be:

It is taking between 30 and 90 months for us to process this kind of case

And it is not a typo

26 months huh? That is a step up from the usual 22 months crap that they have been handing us for the past few months.

Steeler Fan, what is your PD/ND?

I am getting this message

Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on January 23, 2002. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 30 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete.

BCIS should change it to 975 and 999 months...they will be off the hook then...and we will stop dreaming of getting one..

I think between 975 and 999 years should put a complete halt to this forum.... we could start thinking of doing something more meaningful with our lives then eh?

Errors on Receipt Notices from the Service Centers

The California Service Center has advised the AILA-CSC Liaison Committee that an upgrade to the USCIS computer system resulted in errors relating to the number of days it takes to process applications, petitions, motions and appeals on all receipt notices issued by service centers on October 6 and 7. The error also caused the NCSC call-in automated system and the CIS online system to incorrectly report processing dates. These errors were nation-wide, and not limited to the CSC.

The CSC will not issue receipt notices until the problem has been resolved. Until that time, people are urged to refer to the most current processing times report for the CSC. AILA is checking on whether the other service centers also are holding off on receipts

OK .. whoever helped or did this upgrade is morally responsible for this mistake! They better say their prayers before they go to bed tonight.

What a bunch of lazy asses... Seems like these guys are looking for excuses to stop working. I assume they are using a computer to generate these receipt notices (as opposed to etching them in stone) so how long should it take to correct this error??? A six year old can do it in I don't know 10 seconds...
There is so much bureaucracy and inefficiency in BCIS.
