Called the BCIS 1800* customer service number yesterday. A very nice lady picked up the phone after 6-9mts of wait. I gave my LIN number and told that I had mailed my "Change of Address" AR-11 during May and asked if they receive dit. She said just mailing wont meet the requirement a Phone call is also required then she tool the new info for myself and my wife and said a confirmation letter will be sent to the new address.

I asked her why our FP info is not updated (FP done during Mar 03) she said write a letter to NSC.

Then she herself said "Now you want to the progress of your cases" I said Yes. She asked me if we filed the 1-40 and 485 concurrently. I said my I140 has been previously approved and I just filed the 485 with an approved 140, she asked for the A# I gave it. Waited for a minute, she came back and said 485 applications with an approved 140 is taking 24 months.

Thanked her nad hung up

Well, do not hope too much when you call 1800 number. Whatever in the computer recently, thats what they gonna tell you. They cannot dig deep into our file since its not with them. At least your case still can be seen online. My case was transferred and there is no way that I can check online anymore. So I just hope no mails missing from my mailbox, coz' thats the only way I know what is going on with my case.

After my FP yesterday, the officer told me it will take about 3 - 6 months for the interview. May be it depends on cases too.
