California or Texas Center?

Hi -

My employer location is California while the job location is North Carolina, which falls under Texas service center. My 140/485 were concurrently filed this month to the CA center. My company Immigration dept is claiming that employers now have the flexibility to file either in employer location or the job location. Does anyone know if that is true or if there was any memo out on this? I wouldn't want to wait for months only to find out that the application was submitted to the wrong center.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

yes..this is true...

employer can file whereever they want... if you work at Los Angeles, they can file for CSC..if you work in Boston they can file in Vermont...
It doesnt matter now...

Wotever I say is just my opinion ..anyways check with your lawyer

Thanks for your response but I am not sure if my question was clear. You indicated that if I work in LA, they can file in CA and if I work in Boston, they can file in Vermont. That is what I also understand the current arrangement to be.

My situation is that I work in North Carolina but the filing has been done at California where my company's headquarter is. Do you think it still is fine?
