I plan on going to the social security administration office right after my oath ceremony to show them the naturalization certificate and then send it off for my passport.
Does anyone know in CA if we need to update our status with the DMV as well?
You only need to update the DMV about your citizenship when you are renewing the license. Or if you are in one of those states where they offer Enhanced Drivers Licenses for citizens and you want an EDL without waiting for your existing license to expire.
