When our company applied I-140, they mentioned that it will be for CP for everybody. The attorney was the opinion that it is very easy to change CP to AOS. He did it that way because he wanted to have flexibility later when somebody really wants to go to CP instead of AOS.
When the approval notice for the I-140 arrived, it clearly stated as it is applied for CP all the documentation was sent to NVC for furhter processing. But none of us wants to go for CP. We want to go for AOS.
Can anybody please tell me whether
1)this will delay the process in AOS as all the documentation is with NVC?
2)if so, what can be done to avoid the delay?
