I am trying to buy a house for living. My visa status is H1B. I am wordering if I have to sell the property for any reason in future, do I have any penalty because of my VISA status. If somebody share their experience with me I will be grateful.

Hi,

I am in the same boat (on H1B) and bought a house a year ago. No penalty for Visa status. Lender just wanted a copy of I-797 approval notice and copy of the passport. Good luck.

My lender didn't give a damn. It never came up in conversation. Why should it? You don't have to be a US resident to purchase property.
