Business travel to India after getting GC

Hi all
It appears like I might have to travel to India on a business trip to train a team and might be to get them started on their first project. The official expected timeline is for 8 weeks, but my gut feeling tells me it might be 3 months before I get done.
Me and my wife have a green card and are citizens of India and our daughter is American. I dont have a house. I work for an American company and planning to continue to do so. My employer will not pay me in India(just bear all the expenses) but pay me only here in the US.

I guess 2-3 months is okay from other threads in the forum. I would like to solicit some advice from the forum Gurus about
1. how long a stay would trigger a warning light?
2. What documents I need for re-entry?
3. Anything else I need to be cautious about if the stay exceeded 3 months(by a couple of weeks only)?

Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It shouldnt be a problem for upto 6 months. One thing that I may recommend is that you take a letter from your company stating that you are on a official business trip in India and you will be re-joining the company back in the city whereever you are. I presume that you are not giving up your rental apartment / house during this trip. Any recent utility bills etc that you receive here in the US could be mailed to you in India and you could show that as proof that you had every intention of returning to the US and you still maintain residence here.
All these are just precautionary measures, most probably you will not have any problems.
