Business own/operation options for a H1 B holder in US?

Hi All

I am on H1 B Visa.

1) Considering my visa status, what are my options to start and operate any internet based business in US? (keeping my day time job)
I have heard from various sources that, anybody in US can start a business, but you can not WORK for it in ANY shape or form, not even unpaid, unless you have the appropriate work authorization. So what are options for a H1 B visa holder?

2) For a H1 B visa holder, are there any restrictions for registering any corporation or LLC as business entity? I am asking it because in a corporation the owner can pay him self as an employee, so want to understand the options for H1 B holders who want to do something as an entrepreneur in US?.

.. and I am not sure about this, but when I was on H1 and exploring these possibilities, I was told that if you start a company, then that company cannot sponsor your H-1.


Can anyone confirm if that is the case? If it is, then that pretty much seals the matter doesn't it?
