All BSIC centers are facing huge backlog of I-485 cases. A normal processing time is much more than a year now. But the I-131 (Advance Parole) and I-765 (employment authorization) are valid for a year only. In the result a huge backlog of I-131 and I-765 extension cases is pilling up now.
Why not BSIC issue I-131 and I-765 valid for 2, 3 years at the first time and save resource to process I485 cases instead of I-131/I-765 extensions cases.
